Terms and Conditions for PetSync LLC

1. Agreement to Terms

By using the services of PetSync LLC (“PetSync,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all services provided in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky.


2. Services Provided

PetSync provides in-home pet sitting, dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight care, and related pet care services.

All services are subject to availability and confirmation.


3. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

- Provide accurate and complete information about pets, including medical conditions and behavioral issues

- Ensure pets are vaccinated as required by law

- Provide safe access to the home during scheduled service times

- Secure aggressive or dangerous pets and disclose any history of aggression

- Provide necessary supplies (food, medications, leashes, litter, etc.)

Failure to disclose critical information may result in immediate termination of services without refund.


4. Access to Property

Clients authorize PetSync to enter their home for the purpose of providing agreed services.

Clients must provide:

- Working keys, lockbox access, or entry codes

- Instructions for alarms, gates, or special entry procedures

PetSync is not responsible for issues arising from faulty locks, security systems, or access failures.


5. Scheduling and Cancellations

- Appointments must be scheduled in advance and confirmed

- Cancellation policies may apply depending on service type

- Same-day cancellations may be subject to full or partial charges

Holiday and peak-time bookings may have stricter cancellation requirements.


6. Payments

- Payment is due prior to or at the time of service unless otherwise agreed

- Late payments may result in service suspension

- Returned or failed payments may incur additional fees

PetSync reserves the right to change pricing at any time with notice.


7. Veterinary Care Authorization

In the event of a medical emergency, PetSync is authorized to seek veterinary care for your pet.

You agree that:

- You are financially responsible for all veterinary costs

- PetSync will make reasonable efforts to contact you and your listed emergency contact

PetSync is not liable for outcomes of veterinary treatment


8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

- PetSync is not liable for illness, injury, escape, or death of pets unless caused by gross negligence

- PetSync is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or natural progression of illness

- PetSync is not liable for damage to property caused by pets

Clients assume all risks associated with pet ownership.


9. Aggressive or Dangerous Pets

PetSync reserves the right to refuse or terminate services for pets that pose a safety risk.

- If a pet exhibits aggressive behavior:

- Services may be stopped immediately

- No refunds will be issued for remaining service


10. Property Damage

Clients are responsible for any damage caused by their pets to:

- PetSync staff

- Third parties

- Property

PetSync is not responsible for damage caused by pets left unattended.


11. Weather and Emergencies

In cases of severe weather or emergencies:

- PetSync will make reasonable efforts to continue services

- Delays or rescheduling may occur for safety reasons


12. Use of Photos and Updates

PetSync may take photos of pets during service for:

- Client updates

- Marketing and promotional use

Clients may opt out of marketing use by submitting a written request.


13. Independent Contractor Status

PetSync operates as an independent service provider. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship with clients.


14. Termination of Services

PetSync reserves the right to terminate services at any time for:

- Safety concerns

- Non-payment

- Availability

- Violation of these terms


15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles.


16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from services shall be resolved through:

- Good-faith negotiation first

- If unresolved, disputes may be handled in courts located in West Virginia


17. Changes to Terms

PetSync may update these Terms and Conditions at any time.

Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
